“Removery heavily advertises its INK-nitiative program as a humanitarian effort, claiming to provide a "safe, judgement-free environment" for individuals "rebuilding their lives after a troubled past" and "eliminating the physical reminders of traumatic life experiences." They require applicants to publicly expose deeply vulnerable histories—including former incarceration, gang affiliation, human trafficking, and domestic violence—promising to help them focus on a "better future." Prospective clients need to know how Removery actually treats vulnerable patients the second an official staff conduct grievance is filed. I put myself in an intensely vulnerable state with this company. I explicitly disclosed exactly what my tattoos consist of, why I no longer wanted them on my body, and how deeply painful they are to live with. Removery took that exact vulnerability, turned around, and weaponized it against me the moment I spoke up about staff behavior. Using the exact opportunity of me reporting staff misconduct to turn around and state that I am no longer with Removery is completely absurd. Immediately after I filed a formal complaint regarding staff behavior at the studio, Removery abruptly revoked my care, fabricating claims regarding attendance rules to state that I "no longer qualified." Their own signed consent form explicitly states: "I consent to being obligated to showing up in a timely manner to each appointment." "I must notify Removery if I need to cancel or reschedule an appointment with 24 hours' notice, and that failure to do so may result in immediate expulsion from the program." Removery has not produced—and cannot produce—a single date, timestamp, or record showing an unexcused absence or a failure to give 24 hours' notice. None exists. On July 23, 2026: Prior to arrival, multiple attempts were made to call the studio, but calls repeatedly disconnected on Removery’s phone line—a system malfunction entirely out of my control. Upon arrival, there were no patients waiting in the clinic lobby. Treatment was performed. The technician touched my tattoo, administered laser treatment to a portion of the area, and stated the full tattoo could not be completed during that visit due to the arrival time. Even after the treatment session was completely finished, there was still nobody waiting in the lobby. Physically showing up to an appointment and receiving laser treatment on your tattoo is not a failure to cancel or reschedule with 24 hours' notice. There is zero contractual basis for expulsion. Requiring vulnerable clients to expose sensitive personal trauma and painful history to access care, and then weaponizing that history to claim they "no longer qualify" right after they expose staff misconduct, completely contradicts their claims of providing a "safe, judgement-free environment." Grossly misinterpreting their own signed contract terms to fabricate grounds for expulsion is bad-faith retaliation. Promoting a trauma-recovery program publicly for positive PR while revoking care from vulnerable patients who report staff conduct concerns tells you everything about this company.”
