WHAT TO EXPECT
The whole process of removing a tattoo can take a long time, we say generally over a year. That’s because your body is doing the heavy lifting removing the smaller particles of ink in between treatment sessions. On average 4 to 6 weeks between sessions. 10 to 12 sessions and life getting in the way can push it over the 12 months mark.
But the actual time you have to be under the laser is dramatically shorter.
Ultimately, the thing that it depends on is the size of the tattoo. If you have a very small tattoo, say that it’s the size of a pinky nail or maybe the size of a quarter. That treatment is going to take seconds, probably less than a minute.
However, if you have a full sleeve, a chest piece, a much larger tattoo with a bigger surface area, it’s going to take minutes so potentially 15 or even 30.
It’s no day at the spa but it is generally over before you know it’s begun. And here at Removery we’re constantly trying to find new ways to distract the mind so that it’s as comfortable as it can possibly be.
We use different techniques, including a zimmer cold air vibration, that brings a level of anesthesia to your skin for the most comfortable experience possible. Every Removery studio has a zimmer cooling system for mild anesthesia.
