COSMETIC TATTOO REMOVAL
ON AVERAGE
treatments to remove a cosmetic tattoo
The type of ink used in cosmetic tattoos is different to general tattoos and can bring its complications. When we try to lighten this type of ink the color can change. It may start as black and after a laser treatment, it might turn brown or orange. That color change can stay like this for the length of the removal process.
It doesn’t mean that we can’t remove the tattoo, it just means that you could be living with odd colored eyebrows for a while. Cue some good makeup.
But our specialists will spend a good amount of time with you explaining all of this and how it can influence how many treatments you need to remove it completely.
No. We only use PicoWay lasers which are the fastest available. This means that the laser doesn’t stay on the skin long enough to damage hair follicles.
It can vary as it depends on what kind of ink was used and how it was applied. Our laser specialists will be able to answer this with more accuracy when you come in for your free consultation.
It’s easy. Just come into your local studio for a free consultation. We can take a look at your eyebrows, assess them properly, and perform a spot test to see how the ink may react to the laser.
Throughout the removal process, ink may become darker after initial treatments before lightening with continued treatments. In some cases, ink may change colors to an undesirable shade during the removal process. This is one of the reasons we do a spot test prior to proceeding with treatments.
Yes! Aftercare is very important and can make a big difference to your results. It’s very similar to full tattoo removal aftercare which you can learn about here. But here are the main points for the tattoo removal area.
– No sun exposure or tanning – No laser hair removal, chemical peels, botox or fillers within 24 hours of treatments – No makeup or products for 72 hours post-treatment
Don’t worry though, our specialists will walk you through all of the aftercare instructions before beginning any treatment.
Cosmetic tattoo removal sessions start at $400 per session depending on the size of the area being treated.
A common method where the artist applies hair-like strokes of ink under the dermis layer of your skin using a static blade rather than a tattoo machine. The result from microblading is typically natural looking and lasts for about three years. If a mistake is made during the application, eyebrow tattoo removal can help remove the undesired ink.
Some cosmetic tattoo artists choose to use traditional tattoo machines to apply eyebrow tattoos. Brow tattoos applied using this method have been until now, typically more permanent. Our lasers are so advanced and precise that we can remove eyebrow tattoos in the same way we can remove tattoos all over the body.
Cosmetic tattoo removal sessions start at $400 per session depending on the size of the area being treated. Cosmetic tattoo removal involves both a different approach than classic tattoo removal and unique aftercare instructions. To ensure we can treat these cases, we require a free, in-person consultation to assess your brow ink and talk through the process with you first hand.

Removing a cosmetic tattoo is the same process we use for removing any tattoo. Find out more about it here.
The laser hits the ink in a tattoo, breaking it into smaller & smaller particles. Once these particles are small enough they’re taken away naturally by your body. We repeat this until it’s gone completely.
Not all lasers are create equal. Our lasers have advanced speed and accuracy to reduce discomfort and improve results. They’re called PicoWay lasers. And they’re the best around.
The truth is we can’t give you a definitive answer. It varies client to client due to lots of factors including the age of the tattoo and the type of ink used. But typically we say between 8 to 10 sessions.
