AUSTIN, TX (May 11, 2021)—Removery, the world leader in laser tattoo removal, change, and fade services today announced that it has completed the acquisitions of UNInked, Laser Tattoo Removal in Greater Cincinnati and Disappearing Ink in Pittsburgh and Hawaii.
UNInked was founded in 2016 by Matt and Kim Ernst. The mother and son duo developed the studio as a leading provider of laser tattoo removal services in the tri-state area, successfully serving over 1,000 clients. Matt Ernst will join the Removery family as a client service associate and assist with further expansion across the state of Kentucky.
Wes South founded Disappearing Ink in 2012. After opening two tattoo removal locations in Pittsburgh, he later expanded into Hawaii in 2019. Wes and the Disappearing Ink team will join Removery and oversee further expansion in their existing markets as well as taking on a number of growth opportunities.
These acquisitions come on the heels of Removery’s acquisition of Absolute Laser Tattoo Removal in Southern California and brings the number of studios to 45.
In January 2021 Elliott Investment Management made a $50-million investment in Removery to further fund growth. Removery plans to have 200+ tattoo removal clinics across North America over the next five years, having also expanded to Australia in March 2021.
